Making Messes

At it again. De-organizing all my freshly organized drawers full of sorted fabrics, paints, and stuff.

Had an old mattress cover and a bunch of fabric quarters. I have been wanting to make some fabric collage quilts since forever so I am giving it a go.
is where I found my inspiration. Therein was a feature on quilt artist Pamela Allen whose work I have long admired. I am trying to emulate her quilt titled "Hen Party" found on page 110.

Template for chicken going on her arm.

Took a break. Did a sketch.

Took some pics of a table I painted last year.

Played some Words with Friends.
A wonderful day....
The End.

It's all good.

The beginning of a brand new year is always time for reflection and if not a new set of resolutions, at least a bucket list of things I hope to accomplish in the new year. I think it is always because of this I have a biological urge to clean out and re-organize my entire studio. Which is not that big - just an unused dining room.  But usually this means I will end up involving the entire house and possibly the garage. Somebody stop me!

So happy to finally have my flat file where it belongs. Wonder why the painting is turned upside down
on the easel? Another of my UFO's from many years ago and it is not my vision any longer. I plan to gesso
over it and paint a desert landscape collage.
U-shaped work tables, one swivel chair! Multi-tasking.

Yes, those are Red Solo Cups that fit perfectly inside a Costco retrieved box
that I will cover ASAP. Much better for me to have my pens and pencils where
I can see what I have. Otherwise I go out and buy more when I already had it!

More uses for Costco cartons. These interlock and are very sturdy. Hold all my little bottles of acrylic and fabric paints.

Whats up doc?

Still having problems with my site feed. If you are reading this okay it would really help me a lot if you would leave a quick comment. Really considering moving to another platform. TYVM.

What's a gal to do?

Technical difficulties! Best laid plans! Resolutions! Life!

Accidentally took photo while playing with I-Pad. Made a cartoon in Sketchy app.

If you are even able to read this it will be a miracle. My Feed Burner (which is now owned by Google) somehow broke and after an entire week of trying to fix it, I decided to go with Feed Cat so won't know if all is well till all of you let me know. Please? Thank you.

Also have discovered that I CANNOT use I-Cloud on my lowly XP run elderly PC computer. Would have made things so much simpler. My friend gave me her unused Wacom Bamboo tablet, something I have wanted for years and there is a learning curve going on with that also. So far I like drawing with the Bamboo Pen much better than the stylus for I-Pad.

So much for techno-babbo. Except to let you know CES2012 began here on Tuesday. These TV's shown in the video were featured there. So all this is not far away. The stuff of science fiction.
